Kor — The Purple Maw

When Kor enters a room, conversations end first. Questions come later.

Broad as a siege door and wrapped in brutal iron studded with skulls and spikes, Kor has cultivated the appearance of a monster so thoroughly that most people never think to look deeper. The glowing violet markings across his scarred skin only worsen the rumors.

Some say he survived a curse.
Others say he is the curse.

Kor rarely corrects either story.

Despite his terrifying appearance, Kor is not driven by cruelty. He is a living fortress: the kind of warrior who plants himself between danger and weaker people without hesitation. Years of violence hardened him into something intimidating, but somewhere beneath the armor remains a deeply controlled, painfully disciplined soul trying to ensure no one under his protection experiences what he once did.

He speaks little. Watches constantly. And when he does finally move, it is usually because someone ignored the warning signs.

Tavern owners know him as the sort of customer who silently pays for damaged furniture after bar fights he technically did not start. Mercenaries know him as the last person you want standing in a doorway during a conflict. Children, strangely enough, tend to like him immediately.

Kor dislikes attention, distrusts nobility, and has absolutely no interest in heroism or fame. But trouble has a habit of finding the biggest thing in the room.

And more often than not, Kor becomes the thing standing between chaos and everyone else.
