Averon — The Hellbound Pledge

Averon does not fight for glory.
He fights for a promise.

Born from Stone Giant ancestry and raised with the instincts of a merchant rather than a warrior, Averon was never meant to become the kind of figure people whisper prayers about on battlefields. His strength was not in aggression, but endurance. Patience. The ability to survive burdens that would crush others beneath their weight.

Then his wife was cursed.

Desperate and unable to accept losing her, Averon made a pact with a being from beyond mortal understanding. The terms were horrifyingly simple:

Send enough evil souls to hell, and her curse will be broken.

Now clad in heavy armor and carrying both holy symbol and forbidden obligation, Averon walks the line between divine devotion and damnation. To some, he appears to be a righteous cleric delivering judgment upon monsters and wicked men alike. To others, there is something deeply unsettling in the calm certainty behind his eyes whenever violence becomes necessary.

Because every soul he condemns is counted.

Despite his towering size and battlefield presence, Averon is not cruel. He speaks carefully. Protects instinctively.
